Kristi Wallace, NBC-HWC

Kristi currently serves as the Wellness Analyst for the City of High Point. She uses her UNCG Health Coaching Certification to assist employees in their wellness journey.The City of High Point is a medium sized municipality with approximately 1,400 employees.In my position I work with these employees in a variety of capacities but most importantly serve as a resource to encourage overall health and well-being.Kristi recognizes the relevance and impact of Health Coaching is increasing rapidly, and I look forward to the opportunity to advocate for the various programs through UNCG and NBC-HWC.

Amber K. Reed, MA, QP, CPSS, NBC-HWC, CNWE

Amber is a Certified Health Coach in private practice who recently earned the distinction of National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She is a Qualified Professional and Certified Peer Support Specialist with experience supporting mental health recovery goals through multiple modalities,including nutrition and stress reduction. She is certified in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and HeartMath. Further, she has graduate level training in Nutrition and is a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Educator. Amber believes health coaching is the missing piece in the healthcare system, helping to bridge doctor recommendations with patient needs.

Nicole Puccinelli-Ortega, M.S., NBC-HWC

Nicole is a practicing health coach,primarily with the cancer survivor population at Wake Forest School of Medicine (WFSM) and the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She is passionate about partnering with clients to realize their well-life vision after cancer treatment. I have experience in qualitative research methodology and work as a qualitative research associate at WFSM.Nicole is currently studying to become a scholar in teaching and assessment as a doctoral student in the Health Professions Education program at Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Stefanie Milroy, MPH, CHES, CHC

Stefanie Milroy serves as the Director of Employee Wellness (HealthyUNCG) at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Stefanie is an advocate for creating a culture of wellness for employees of UNCG and is one of the founding members of the annual state-wide worksite wellness conference for universities and community colleges, Making the Grade in Worksite Wellness. With over a decade of experience in this role, Stefanie has witnessed the powerful effect of incorporating the health coaching mindset into wellness programming in addition to including health coaching as an integral part of a comprehensive employee wellness program.

Daniel L. Bibeau, PHD, CHC

Dan Bibeau is a professor in the Department of Public Health Education at UNCG. He is a co-author of the seminal paper cited in more than 4000 scholarly articles titled “An Ecological Perspective on Health Promotion Programs” that changed the way we look at what influences behavior beyond individual, psychological factors. He also co-authored “Adding Health Education Specialists to Your Practice” in the American Academy of Family Physician’s journal Family Practice Management.

Dan has conducted over 200 trainings for healthcare professionals, teachers, public health professionals, and business leaders. He was a lead researcher in the CITIES Stroke Project in partnership with Novant Health and Cone Health and was the Founding Executive Director of the Wellness Council of North Carolina. As the co-Director and a Certified Health Coach, Dan continues to partner with UNCG employees to help them reach their health and well-being goals.

Tracie Heavner, MPH, NBC-HWC

As of 2013, Tracie has served as Director of YMCA of Greensboro’s Diabetes Prevention Program. As director, she earned/served as a member of the following organizations:

  • UNCG-certified Health Coach
  • National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC)
  • Master Trainer in Diabetes Prevention with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
  • Cone Health’s American Diabetes Association (ADA) Advisory Board
